Pale-coloured melanomas

Chris McMillan – the CEO of Cancer Council Queensland said “Typically, a lot of people assume, wrongly, that melanomas are associated with dark pigmented moles” and “Realistically, we find that 20 per cent of melanomas are pale-coloured lesions.” The research has shown that potentially lethal melanomas may be missed because they are paler in colour and less obvious.
