Scientist found strong evidence that links smoking and common skin cancer. Study by QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute involved almost 19,000 people. It found that smokers are 2.5 times more likely to develop a squamous cell carcinoma than non-smokers. It was found that the risk was especially strong for current smokers.
